Alone since the death of her grandfather, Chi Li lives a guarded life. Because she suffers from epilepsy, she’s not considered“marriage material”, and avoids contact with others in favor of a solitary existence. When a young man surprisingly shows romantic interest, Chi Li’s world gradually opens, bringing her hope for happiness but also painful memories of her past, when she struggled to become a dancer. Director Zhou Zhou also cast Chi Yun in his first film Meili (15th HKAFF), and the two collaborated on the script for Only You Alone, crafting a powerful drama and a courageous character for Chi Yun to beautifully embody.
