13-year-old Aslan lives with his grandmother in a village ridden by crime. At school, he is bullied by Bolat, the de-facto student gang leader who extorts and beat up other kids. After a particularly bruising humiliation by Bolat, Aslan decides to exact revenge. Told with stone-cold precision and uncompromising brutality, the film takes audiences into a cruel world where survival of the fittest taints the most innocent of souls. Even the tamest lamb must become a primitive, vicious predator who fights just to prevent from becoming the bottom of the food chain.
