An unexpected phone call reconnects Tanaka with his estranged father. It turns out his father has developed rapidly progressive dementia, but his partner, the woman he left the family for when Tanaka was a child, has gone mysteriously missing. Can we still hold fast to a relationship with someone whose memory becomes unreliable?
