High school student Ai goes to the Night Division of a prestigious school after failing the public exams. Although the "Night" students share the same desks and classrooms as their "Day" Division peers, the gap between their academic merits hits Ai's self-esteem. Ai befriends her Day counterpart deskmate, Min. They use the same desk and even fall for the same boy, Luke. As the two girls often switch their uniforms to play truant, Ai starts to get comfortable in the borrowed identity and her lies begin to snowball.
