The pandemic might have put the world to a standstill, but nothing could stop artists from using their creativity, observations and reflections to keep their and our minds whirling. Having already graced the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival with their work, our very own Fantastic (Filmmaking) Four of Wong Siu-pong, Cheuk Cheung, Norris Wong and Chan Siu-kuen return to the fold with their own compact takes of their "new everyday". As a response to our invitations to produce a piece with Lomography stock, the quartet have produced four shorts revolving around people close and afar, and issues both intimate and expansive. These shorts will be shown at random before each screening during the festival: stand-alone pieces providing a glimpse of the filmmakers' worlds, and a prelude to the features to follow.
