Gala Presentations - An Abandoned Team

At the Gala presentation of An Abandoned Team, director Thomas Lee and Daniel Ho, together with actors and actresses Lawrence Cheng, Amy Lo, Fish Liew, Jay Fung, Wong Ching-yi, Cow Cow, the dog actor and more thank for the support of the audience.

Lee and Ho, who both wrote and directed the film, recalled the entire production process, saying that it took more than 10 years from conception to production, and that the film was first shot as a documentary, and then through exchanges with different actors, they improved and adjusted the script, and finally successfully presented the film on to the silver screen, they were especially gratefuly for the support from the audience.

The film not only features a cast of genuine actors, but also a number of dogs. Although Little, the dog who played the role of ‘Roast Piggy’, has already left for the Rainbow Bridge, his performance on camera still left a deep impression on the stage and backstage. The director even mentioned that they would guide Little on the set, and Little was very flexible and could fulfil the director's requirements within one or two takes.

The lead actor, Cheng, laughed that he hoped the film would make people forget about him and fall in love with the character Kai. Many of the actors and actresses in the film are making their first appearance in a film, such as Amy Lo, Jay Fung and Wong Ching-Yi. In addition to shooting a film for the first time, they also had to act with dogs, which made the challenge even more unforgettable. All of them were very nervous during the filming, but they said that the mutual trust between the team made them more involved in the script and enjoy the filming.
