To encourage teenagers to appreciate arthouse cinema, HKAFF has established "Young Jury". This year's jury consisted of 10 local high school students. Under the guidance of a mentor, they watched and discussed 5 selected films before choosing their most favourite one.

At last, Always was awarded with Young Jury Award, whereas All That's Left of You is received Young Jury Special Mention.

The young jury members talked about their comments of the films at the closing ceremony, remarking that the winner Always had broken the framework of traditional documentary, guiding them to contemplate the responsibilities of growing up, and the distance between themselves and the future.

They also noted that the Special Mention winner All That's Left of You guides younger audience to ponder on identity, history and deeper meaning, conveying an imminent and empowering message that is extremely important in today's world.
