Like many other young girls, Zaffan is experiencing physical changes during puberty, but her transformation seems to become extreme, with growing whiskers, claws, and glaring red eyes. In the face of bullying and shame around female bodies in the community, what will Zaffan do with herself and her tiger stripes? Inspired by the local weretiger myth, Amanda Nell Eu explores female body experience and identity with this debut feature through the body horror genre, and makes her the first Malaysian female director to be featured at the Cannes Film Festival.
