In a Southern Thai town by the seaside, two young ladies meet. Shati is a Muslim from a conservative family; Fon is a rebellious visual artist who is in town for her gallery residency. As their friendship grows into something more intimate, Shati is faced with inner struggles against the imposing walls of her cultural and religious background. Caught between fear and desire, Shati remembers her late and beloved grandmother’s tales, leading her to suppress her affection for Fon. Feature debut by Patiparn Boontarig, the film is a poetic piece filled with many imageries to look for.
