When a grieving detective and a shady broker for migrant workers discover that a serial killer is targeting Southeast Asian female migrant workers, they must put aside their respective personal turmoil and stop the killer from striking again. In an impressive feature directorial debut, director Tseng Ying-ting crafts a stylish, but unconventional serial killer thriller that emphasises the psychological state of its traumatised characters over blood and thrills. More importantly, Tseng uses a familiar genre to expose predators who exploit the rapidly growing migrant worker community in Taiwan.
