Busan International Film Festival

Two decades after All About Lily Chou-Chou, director Shunji Iwai and composer Takeshi Kobayashi finally reunite for a new film about the transformative power of music. AiNA THE END, a member of disbanded idol group BiSH, gives a star-making performance as Kyrie, a busker who can only speak through songs due to trauma. Her singing catches the eyes of Ikko, a mysterious lady, who decides to help Kyrie to pursue stardom. Featuring an all-star ensemble cast, Iwai’s sprawling epic is a profound drama about music's ability to process pain and trauma.
