Han-young is forging a new life in Seoul after defecting from North Korea. With the language skill she had acquired during her time as a refugee in China, Han-young became a tour guide. However, the journey of reinvention is rife with challenges: her brother, who also defected, went missing; the number of Chinese tourists slumps due to rising political tensions between China and Korea; her only friend in the city is planning to leave the country. Kwak Eun-mi’s first feature film is a portrait of an outsider struggling to navigate through a strange land.
